My very first show of The Sarah Powers Radio Show set quite a high bar because of the talent that was showcased. Phat Man Dee, Joy Ike, and Ben Alper were all gracious enough to share their hearts and musical talent. The discussion that evening was not only one of music but most importantly spreading love to the earthquake victims in Haiti. Phat Man Dee along with the assistance of Justin Strong, organized a benefit at the Shadow Lounge for the Yele Foundation. In a very touching and personal show each guest spoke about how they believed their music could and more importantly, should help others.
