This week, WPPJ left it’s mark on Point Park’s number one on-campus news source “The Globe”. Below is an excerpt from the article written by Point Park’s own Danielle Thompson:
“Some of the changes being made are updates rather than alterations to the way the station is being run. One of the biggest updates is the addition of a new WPPJ Web site. The new site will stream from the station constantly, feature DJ blogs and link to other social media Web sites such as Twitter.”
Read more of the Globes coverage here:
WPPJ also kicked off a series of Advertisements on Point Park’s campus television station U-View. Below are each of the commercials in their entirety. Also be sure not to miss them daily, Watch U-View anywhere on campus on Channel 4 (Thayer, Lawrence) or Channel 953 (Boulevard Apartments, Conastoga, Pioneer)

During the Month of April, WPPJ will be participating in the local Scouting For Food event taking place on Point Park Universities campus. Each ‘PJ DJ will contribute items, and in turn will encourage their listeners to do the same! Scouting for Food is a month long event in which the Boy Scouts of America will be collecting food for the Pittsburgh Food Bank. Point Park University is set up as a collection site and will have several locations around the University for students, staff and faculty to drop of canned goods to go to people in need around the Pittsburgh area. Last year, Point Park University raised more than 1,700 units. This year’s goal is to reach 2000 units of food and to continue giving back to the Pittsburgh Community that surrounds Point Park University.
