Another year, another IBS conference. Just like in years member from WPPJ and U-View went up to New York for the 70th annual IBS conference. This is the radio and webcasting conference where colleges around the nation convene to discuss issues in the industry.
Even though the confenrence the main part of the trip there were also some other worth while experiences on the trip. First was are visit to MTV’s Reese Patterson and Rob Yacyshyn producers of “Made”. It was very interesting to hear their journey’s to their rerspective positions. We also got to meet Point Park alumnus Dave Perozzi producer at ABC News. It was nice to see a Point Park alum who has mad far in the industry. And once again we mad our annual visit to the Paley Center of Media and we got to tour WNYC. But the hight of the tours was visiting NYU and meeting music producer legend Tony Visconti.
Some personal highlights for me where meeting Chuck D from Public Enemy and our trips to Jimmy’s Corner. I think we learned a lot about each other at that place. And for positive news I did not make any roof top adventures this year.
