A representative from NCSoft gives a solid confirmation that the highly anticipated Guild Wars 2 will kick off on consoles.
“For the console game – when it comes to Guild Wars 2 – as we have announced already, we are in the preparation stage,” said NCSoft about their console development agenda. “And also, for other titles we are in the preparation stage, but nothing has been finalized yet for me to make specific comments now.”
Wait? Did he say that console development has been “announced already”? Already? What? You heard that right. ArenaNet already heat the volcano in the past, but buzz and excitement is just starting to erupt this nuked out nerdgasm news.
ArenaNet’s Martin Ketstein says on the GW2 Forums they publicly discussed the fact that a console version of Guild Wars 2 is in the works on various occasions. While that may be true, it is the first time that most gamers are hearing about such a Pure Conquest project
PC gamers should not fear NCSoft and ArenaNet’s decision to port the teamwork heavy free MMORPG, because the team is still “fully dedicated to make the most kickass game for PC .”
No date is set for the console release, but it will more than likely launch at a different time than the PC version. We know for sure that it is coming – eventually.
Are you going to practice the virtue of patience for the console release or tackle the PC version as soon as it smacks down on the shelves?
